NP4
Enterprise Travel Technology

The independent data and process layer for global business travel.

The NP4 platform connects travel and enterprise data from connected sources. It brings related information into a shared structure for reporting, travel security, approvals, traveller communication and destination systems.

Platform logic

Five steps from source system to enterprise process.

Data access, permissions, enterprise rules and destination systems determine the implementation.

Connect

Connect travel providers, booking channels and relevant enterprise systems through appropriate interfaces.

Unify

Consolidate related travel information and connect it with the enterprise context required downstream.

Govern

Keep data origin, freshness and processing traceable for connected data flows.

Decide

Apply enterprise rules and approval logic to the current journey.

Distribute

Deliver purpose-specific information to reporting, duty of care, travellers and enterprise systems.

PLATFORM IN ACTION

One change. Multiple controlled downstream processes.

Select a perspective to see which information NP4 can provide or reassess for the relevant process.

STARTING EVENT

A booked flight is rescheduled.

The flight now takes place on the following day. Travel time and location change; available cost information may change as well.

Travel Management

The consolidated itinerary is updated with the available change status. Travel Management receives a shared view without reconciling each provider source separately.

Which downstream processes are updated or reassessed depends on the connected sources, available data, configuration, enterprise rules and products in use.

  • Provider-independentData and process logic remains controllable beyond individual TMC, OBT or GDS products.
  • Purpose-specific data viewsReporting, Security, approvals and destination systems receive only the information defined for their respective purpose.
  • Traceable hand-offsSources, consolidation, rules and recipients remain visible as separate areas of responsibility.
Implementation & operations

From the existing travel landscape into controlled operations.

Sources, roles, quality requirements and destination processes define the agreed project scope.

  • Clarify the current landscape & scope

Which TMCs, OBTs, GDS, direct and enterprise sources are relevant? Which enterprise functions and target systems need which information? Responsibilities, dependencies and the intended operating process are mapped together.

  • Define the data and interface model

Fields, formats, permissions, freshness, mapping rules and required data deliveries are defined for the agreed sources and recipients.

  • Implement connections & mapping

The agreed access methods and transfer paths are configured. Incoming data is mapped to the required NP4 data structure and prepared for the intended process views.

  • Validate data and processes

Agreed data states, functional assignments, process views and exports are validated. During a provider migration, old and new data can be compared in parallel during a transition phase.

  • Move into controlled operations

Production handover, error paths, monitoring, changes, versioning and ongoing maintenance become part of the agreed operating model. For provider migrations, cutover and the transition period are planned accordingly.
